    Yes, there is no need for us to visit your home. Commercial property may require a site visit.
  • How quickly can I get my carpet or upholstery cleaned?
    It depends on the availability of our technicians, of course, but we will try to get you an appointment within 24hrs of contacting us.
  • Are you insured?
    Yes, we have public liability cover.
  • How many times a year should I have my carpets cleaned?
    Cleaning frequency depends on several things such as the number of occupants in the household, pets, smokers and children. Most manufacturers recommend that carpets are professionally cleaned every 12-18 months. Carpets should be cleaned regularly before they become heavily soiled. Allowing soil to build up will significantly reduce the life of a carpet.
  • Can you remove wine, tea, coffee etc?
    Some stains can be permanent and therefore we can’t make any promises that we can remove them. We usually get better results if we attempt to remove the stain before anyone else tries.
  • Can pet odours and urine be removed?
    The deodoriser in our cleaning solution will deal with most pet odours. We use professional spotters’ specifically designed for the removal of urine.
  • Can steam clean damage my carpet?
    No. Hot water extraction is considered to be the best method for removing embedded soil and other contaminants. It is also the preferred cleaning method by the leading carpet manufacturers.
  • Will my carpet shrink?
    A. Some carpets may be prone to shrinkage. However, we have many years of experience and can spot the fibres within a carpet which may cause this. We can then take preventative measures, so you don’t need to worry. B. If necessary, we may refuse a job and there will be no charge for our assessment or any call-out charge.
  • I have heard that carpets get dirty quicker once they have been cleaned. Is this true?
    This only happens if there is too much residue left on the carpet. Rest assured that we use the correct cleaning system and application methods for each carpet, which means that they stay clean for longer. Detergents that are not designed for use on carpets and upholstery may cause re-soiling problems. Wherever possible, we will use Eco-Friendly cleaning solutions, formulated from renewable resources.
  • How long will it take you to clean my carpets?
    We can give you some estimates, but they will vary, depending on the degree of soiling and stains: Approximately one and a half hours for a three-bedroom house. About an hour for a hall, stairs, landing and a lounge. About an hour for a three-piece suite. As we use the latest technology, our turnaround times are fast, ensuring that you can use your office or your home as quickly as possible.
  • Will hot water extraction (steam cleaning) damage my carpet?
    No, not at all. Hot water extraction is the preferred method of many other major carpet manufacturers. It is generally considered the best method of removing embedded dirt and other contaminants.
  • Do you charge extra for parking?
    It will depend on the area and the size and complexity of the job. We’ll let you know as soon as possible, not least because some areas have expensive parking charges.
  • Should I hoover before you arrive?
    It’s not necessary, once our technicians will hoover it. However, we’d recommend that you give your carpets a quick vacuum the day before, especially if there is a lot of dust.
  • Will children/pets be affected by cleaning processes/chemicals?
    We take the health and safety of our clients seriously. All our cleaning solutions are tested for their effects on the environment and occupants of the areas in which they will be used. We ensure that the relevant safety procedures are followed during the cleaning process. We strongly recommend that children and pets stay off of a damp carpet until it is completely dry, this will help prevent slip and fall hazards as well as tracking in fresh soil.
  • How long will my carpet or furniture take to dry?
    Drying time depends on many factors – how soiled the item was, how much water was used, weather conditions, and the indoor atmosphere. However, in most cases, carpets and soft furnishings should be dry within 10-12 hours. We use specialist tools to speed up the process.
  • Will all the stains come out?
    We will do the best possible, but we can’t guarantee to remove every stain. Unfortunately, some permanently damage the carpet fibres and no amount of specialist cleaning will reverse this.
  • Do I have to move furniture?
    In most cases, we’ll be happy to move furniture but depending on the number of larger pieces of furniture, that require more than one person to move, there may be an additional charge. Any valuable items or furniture containing valuables, such as small or breakable objects, should be moved by the customer, or brought to our attention. We can cover chairs and table legs whilst we work and remove them once the carpets are dry.
  • I have a sisal, coir or natural fibre carpet. Do you clean those?
    No problem – we’re happy to clean natural plant fibre carpets and rugs. We use a dry-cleaning system, to avoid water damage. Unfortunately, with natural fibres, some stains just can’t be completely removed. But we’ll do our best. We’ll perform a thorough cleaning process to leave your carpet fresh, clean and healthy.
  • How do I know if my carpets need to be cleaned?

  • How do I know the type of carpet I have?
    Carpet generally falls into two main fibre categories (natural and man-made). They are, in order of popularity for the residential market: polyester, nylon, wool and cotton. For the commercial market, virtually the majority of carpet is made from nylon. knowing the fibre type will allow you to choose a better cleaning product that removes the most soil without damaging the fibre or colour and altering texture. To identify which is the fibre of your carpet our technicians can run a burn test (consisting of removing a little piece of fibre from the carpet and lighting it on fire) and other chemical tests (dye bleed, dry and wet crock, shrinkage, wet test, Ph test).
  • What are the most common mistakes people make when hiring a carpet cleaner?
    Probably the major problem is hiring someone who doesn’t have a recognized technical qualification as a carpet and upholstery cleaner. Hiring someone with no qualifications, who offer low prices and usually no insurance, can mean insecurity and damage to you, your home and your place of work. It is unlikely that this person will be able to correctly identify the carpet, find damage treat the deterioration, test colours and deliver the standards of care and professionalism desired by you and upheld by the industry.
